Police: Woman Dies After Being Hit By 3 Cars

PHILADELPHIA -

A woman has died after being hit by three cars in Philadelphia's Logan section. Police say two of the vehicles drove off, and they're still searching for one of them.

This happened on the 4500 block of North Broad Street, near the intersection with Belfield Avenue, just before 5 a.m. Friday.

The 50-year-old victim was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center in critical condition but did not survive.

A witness told us the woman was thrown into the air by the force of the crash, fell onto a second car and was then run over by a third.

Police did find the driver of one of the two cars that investigators said had left the scene.

The car for which they're still searching is described as a small, white car, possibly a Dodge Dart with straight lights in the rear. Police said it should have damage to its hood and windshield.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley has more details in this video report from the scene. We'll continue to follow this story and update you when we can.
