Early Sunday investigators searched near Omo Rd. for belongings that April had with her the night she was killed. No word if they found what they were looking for. Meanwhile, they're also released a sketch of a man identified as a person of interest.

"We all have to be aware the person may have changed their looks," said Armada Police Chief Howard Smith. "May have cut hair, changed hair color or grown facial hair."

The Armada homicide task force says while the man may have changed his appearance, it'll be a lot harder for April's killer to shake the unusual habits that typically follow a crime -- like an unusual interest in the investigation or recent unexpected absences from daily activities. The suspect may also talk about that evening and their story may change or become less realistic.

Police received hundreds of tips following the discovery of Millsap's body Thursday evening. She was murdered while walking her dog along the Macomb Orchard trail. More than 200 people gathered for a candlelight vigil at St. Mary Mystical Rose church on Saturday. While the sketch of a person of interest marks a step forward in the investigation, unanswered questions remain. It's not known how April died and why she sent her boyfriend a text message the night she was killed saying she may be abducted.

"I can confirm that that message was sent out," the police chief told Fox 2. "We're taking it with that in mind however we just know that it came from April's cell phone. Other than that, we're not commenting."

The person of interest is described as an average height or possibly taller white male with sandy brown or reddish hair. Investigators want everyone who was on the Macomb Orchard trail between 6:20 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. Thursday and saw April or her dog to give them a call. Every tip is worthwhile. The number to call is: 877-616-4677.
