ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Republicans are on the offensive in the Georgia Senate race, attacking Michelle Nunn as a rubber stamp for President Barack Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Republican David Perdue also questions Nunn's experience as a non-profit foundation executive. Perdue says his experience as a chief executive officer of several large for-profit corporations would be more valuable in the Senate, but Nunn and Democrats say Perdue's career has put profits above people.

The early battles highlight Nunn's uphill fight as she tries to pull an upset in a fall election that pits two outsiders who have never held elected office.
