PHOENIX (KSAZ) - The FBI is on the hunt for a suspected serial bank robber in the valley.

Dubbed the "High Jump Bandit," agents say the thief is believed to be behind a string of five bank robberies, that stretch back to May, in Phoenix and Tempe.

According to the FBI the most recent robbery happened on July 15 at a Bank of America branch on Elliot Rd. and 51st St.

Agents say the man demanded cash from the teller then jumped up onto the counter.
He then threatened the teller while grabbing cash from the register.

In at least one other robbery the bandit is believed to have pulled a knife during the crime.

The man they are looking for has a shaved head, is 5'10" tall, and weighs about 175 pounds.
