Medical emergency stops inbound Metra train

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

An inbound Metra train on the Union Pacific / Northwest Line was stopped during the morning commute Friday due to a medical emergency.

Train No. 624, scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 8:26 a.m., was stopped about 7:35 a.m. in northwest suburban Arlington Heights when a passenger got sick on the train, said Metra spokesman Tom Miller.

The train will not operate past Mount Prospect, according to Metra. Train No. 626, scheduled to depart Barrington at 7:27 a.m., arriving in Mount Prospect at 7:45 a.m. and Chicago at 8:31 a.m., will accommodate passengers and make all of the scheduled station stops.
