Couple and baby miss Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 that was downed over Ukraine

Imagine how you would feel if you were supposed to be on Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 that was downed over eastern Ukraine on Thursday but changed your flight for a later time?

A frightened mother clutched her sleeping baby as she talked about her close call.

According to News.Com.Au, Barry and Izzy Sim had been booked to travel on Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 but had to rebook.

“You get this sick feeling in the pit of your stomach,” Mr Sim told News.Com.Au.

“Coming to the airport in the taxi I was just crying ... I feel like I’ve been given a second chance,” said his wife Izzy.
