NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Brooklyn has become a dumping ground for many of the city's missing or stolen Citi Bikes.

Cops have discovered more than 67 of the bright blue cruisers abandoned on the boroughs streets and sidewalks.

They’ve been turning up in neighborhoods like East New York, Brownsville and Crown Heights.

Police believe thieves are stealing the bikes from docking stations in Manhattan and using them as disposable one-way rides home.

At least two Citi Bike crooks have been arrested.

Citi Bike is a privately owned public bicycle sharing system that serves parts of New York City. It is the largest bike sharing program in the United States.

The system opened to the public in May 2013 with 330 stations and officially with 6,000 bikes.
