OAK CREEK CANYON, Ariz. - An Arizona Republican running for Congress, Adam Kwasman was at a protest in Oracle on Tuesday. He was there to voice his opposition to the news that busload of immigrant children were being sent to a camp in Oracle.

But at least one bus did show up, a yellow school bus. But it wasn't filled with immigrant children; it was filled with kids from a local YMCA. Kwasman didn't know that and he sent a tweet to his 3,000+ followers saying the first bus of migrant children had arrived.

His errant tweet has now gone viral.

Kwasman is from Oro Valley and is running for Ann Kirkpatrick's Congressional Seat in District One. He sent a total of three tweets as follows:

"Bus coming in, this is not compassion, this is abrogation of the rule of law"

"Last tweet not the bus of illegal immigrant children, thank god"

After 40 minutes went by he sent one more tweet, "I apologize for the confusion. That was my error."

FOX 10 caught up with Kwasman at a Concerned Citizens for America meeting in Oak Creek, we asked him about the tweet.

"I made a mistake, I went to Oracle to stand up for the rule of law, and we want compassion with our immigration system. It was an abrogation of the rule of law. I made a mistake and I admitted to it," he said.

"Conservatives believe in a proper immigration and naturalization system. We believe in a rule of law. What's happening right now is pure chaos ya know, I believe that once we get our border secure, we need to send the National Guard to the border. Complete the double border fence, that's why Sheriff Joe Arpaio has endorsed me for Congress. Once we get that secure we can finally start moving forward toward a proper legal immigration system," said Kwasman.

FOX 10 was not allowed inside the meeting that Kwasman went to. We did speak to some of his supporters and most of them did not know anything about the tweet.

The immigrant children that were supposed to come to Oracle still have not shown up.
