GLENDALE, Ariz. - A 16-year-old boy drowned in the pool of an apartment complex near 59th Avenue and Beardsley on Monday morning.

Glendale firefighters say the boy and his friends were up all night hanging out and decided to go swimming.

At some point, some of the boys got distracted and then they saw him under the water.

The boy's friends pulled him out and gave him CPR before paramedics worked on him.

He was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

Authorities believe the teen lived at the complex.
