CHAMBLEE, Ga. -

Two firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion while battling a large house fire at a home in Brookhaven.

SKYFOX 5 captured images of the scene showing a massive blaze.

The two firefighters were taken to nearby hospitals.

The home is located on the 1800 block of Remington Road.

Eyewitnesses tell FOX 5 the occupants of the home were able to get out safely.

DeKalb Fire and Rescue says investigators are trying to determine if a dryer caused the fire but are still working on an exact cause.

Officials tell FOX 5 firefighters were under intense conditions, wearing 75 pounds of gear in the hot summer sun and humidity. They say staying hydrated is key since they’ll sweat out a lot of body weight.
