CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Three people were wounded in a shooting in the South Chicago neighborhood Sunday night.

About 11:20 p.m., a group was walking near East 80th Street and South Muskegon Avenue when several males walked up and opened fire, according to police and Fire Media Affairs.

A 25-year-old man was shot in the head and taken in critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.

A 19-year-old woman was shot in the right thigh and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in “stable” condition, police said.

A third victim — a 47-year-old man — was shot in the right ankle and was found in a home at Escanaba Avenue, authorities said. He was taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center in good condition.

Police said a manhunt ensued for the shooters, but no one is in custody early Monday.
