Most every man would agree, there's nothing like a good haircut and clean shave, the old fashioned kind from an old-school barber. There's a new shop that offers just that, and more.

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - People are still cleaning up after a monsoon storm left its mark on the valley.

The roof at Valley View School near 7th Ave & Baseline peeled right off. But it wasn't the only area with damage.

This was a powerful storm. Look at a tree in Ahwatukee, uprooted and dropped on a car.

Folks in South Phoenix are not surprised by the damage at Valley View School, they knew this was no ordinary storm.

"It did start raining cats and dogs, and the wind was oh whistling dixie in four different tunes," said Bud Hart.

The wind whipped through the Benton family's back yard near 24th St & Southern.

"We were in the house last night, and it was a horrible storm, and all of a sudden my son ran in and said, "Pop, get everyone out of the house, I think the tree's coming down," said Steve Benton.

"I heard one crack; I was out front, I heard the second crack and told everyone to get out, told everyone to come down," said Troy Benton.

They guess up to three tons of wood came crashing down missing the house. It also missed the fence and shed. The Benton family knows they caught a break.

"Very lucky, because it is a huge tree, had it gone the other way it would have taken out the entire house," said Steve Benton.

This storm is a reminder of nature's power, and there are still plenty of storms to come this summer.
