PHOENIX (AP) - Last month was the seventh-hottest June on record in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
National Weather Service meteorologists say the overall average June temperature in Phoenix was 93 degrees and the Phoenix metro area reached a high of 100 for all 30 days.
They say the average high was 106.2 degrees and the average low was 80.1 degrees.
The Phoenix metro area has gone 122 days without rainfall as of Thursday.
But meteorologists say the monsoon is starting up and there could be some rain in the Phoenix area over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
