Summer is officially here and if you're looking for fun ways to keep your kids busy and happy but not break the bank, FOX!3 News has some ideas for you.

If you're looking to stay inside, the kids' summer film fest is on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Select Malco theatres show G-rated movies at 10 a.m. for just $2. "How To Train Your Dragon" and "Kung Fu Panda" are just two on the list for the summer.

Does your teen want to learn to canoe? The Wolf River Conservancy offers five one-week canoe camps. Kids between the ages 13 to 17 will learn best canoe practices and techniques, plus the importance of caring for our environment.

Kids ages nine to 12 are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Campers meet at Arkwings Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and lunch is provided. The cost is free to campers who attend during the June camps and $125 per person for the July dates.

Kids 12 and under, the city of Bartlett hosts the Children's Fishing Rodeo June 28 starting at 8 a.m. Bring a pole and test your luck at Appling Lake. Prizes will be awarded in three age categories: 6 and under, 7-9, & 10-12, along with a grand prize. The rodeo is free, but participants must register.

Starting you can pre-register at Gator Brown's Bait & Tackle on Highway 70 in Bartlett.
The whole family is invited out to Collierville United Methodist Church for their Fifth Annual Off The Wall Movie Nights on Wednesdays. The gathering starts at 7:30 p.m. with music, frisbee, and raffles. Outdoor movies include "Mary Poppins," "The Muppets," and "Despicable Me 2."
