DOWNTOWN MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) - Twenty-five-year-old Tony Coburn has been arrested and charged with five counts of criminal attempted first degree murder in connection to Saturday evening's multiple shooting of five teens who were walking home from an area gym.

A 16-year-old remains in critical condition at the Regional One Medical Center.

Three 13-year-olds were also shot as well as a 19-year-old, police said. All suffered gunshot wounds in the 2400 block of East Hillview near the Hillview Apartments off Alcy Road in South Memphis.

Police said the teens heard gunshots in the area and while running for safety all were struck by bullets.

The three 13-year-olds and the 19-year-old all suffered non-life threatening injuries. The three young teens were treated at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital while the young adult was treated at Regional One.

Coburn, who was arrested Sunday, is being held on $1.5 million bond. He was also charged with felony possession of a firearm. He is expected to appear in Shelby County General Sessions Court June 26.

When police officers arrived at the crime scene, they noticed a green Cadillac with five people inside driving through the apartment complex. The five inside the car fled as police tried to stop the car.

Two men were initially detained by police, while three others were not apprehended.

Police said they recovered three guns that were inside the Cadillac. A fourth weapon was located outside the car.

The incident remains under investigation.
