MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) - - Memphis Police say a man tried to buy $30,000 worth of cocaine from an undercover officer.

Carlton McCord is being held on $250,000 bond and is charged with possession with intent to sell.

According to an affidavit, the undercover officer met with another man at the Sleep Inn on Old Austin Peay on June 19th. The man was the "middle man" in the deal.

Police say, the man arranged for the purchase of 1 kilogram of cocaine from the undercover officer.

When McCord met the officer and the "middle man" with $30,000, he and the "middle man" were arrested.
