Schuykill County Dairy Farmers Surprised By Bovine Triplets

Posted: Updated:

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA- A couple of farmers in Pennsylvania are happy to see a rare sight, courtesy of one of their dairy cows.

A heifer gave birth to three healthy cows last week, a feat animal experts say is pretty rare!

The all-female triplets were born at the windmill dairy farm in Schuylkill County.

Maddie Daubert works at the farm, and says about 25 percent of triplets actually survive.

So the odds of this happening are about one in 8 million!

"They are Meanie, Miney, Mo," Maddie said referring to the newborn's names.

"I'm happy that we had it, I guess we're lucky. The odds weren't good enough to buy a lottery ticket though, those odds are much higher," added Dennis Daubert.

The three cows, Meanie, Miney, and Mo, are all in good shape!
