TUPELO, Miss. (AP) - Tupelo airport officials say a light twin-engine aircraft made a belly landing at the Tupelo Regional Airport.

It happened about 3:30 p.m. Friday.

The pilot, whose name was not released, tells WTVA-TV that he was practicing take-off and landing procedures when the accident happened.

No one was hurt.

The airport's executive director, Josh Abramson, says the airport was closed as workers removed the plane - which was intact - from the runway. Abramson did not immediately reply to an email request for comment from The Associated Press.

The Northeast Daily Journal reports the plane, according to FlightAware.com, is a Beechcraft Baron twin engine that's registered to Total Asset Management LLC of Tupelo.
