An advancing wildfire in Oregon cut short an outdoor wedding for a happy couple, but the wedding photographer captured some amazing shots using the smoke and fire as a backdrop.
April Hartley and Michael Wolber were set to be married at a ranch in Bend on Saturday. Firefighters arrived just before the ceremony started to evacuate the site, but the ranch owner reportedly pleaded with them to allow the wedding to continue.
Photographer Josh Newton documented the abbreviated ceremony and then shot several photos of April and Michael posed with ominous smoke clouds, flames, and light looming behind them. Newton shared the photos with MyFoxNY.com.
Afterwards, the wedding party and guests attended the reception, which was moved to a safer location, according to reports.
