The ramp from northbound Interstate 55 to Kingery Highway has reopened after nearly nine hours after a semi trailer truck rolled over Saturday morning in southwest suburban Willowbrook.
About 9:35 a.m., the 2004 KW Tractor hauling a 1971 trailer was on the ramp when the concrete beam it was carrying shifted, causing the trailer to roll over and slide across the ramp to northbound Kingery, according to a statement from Illinois State Police.
The driver, a 38-year-old man from Waterman in north central Illinois, was wearing a seatbelt and wasn’t hurt in the crash, state police said.
The ramp had reopened as of 6:30 p.m. after crews cut the concrete beam to clear the scene, police said.
