TUPELO, Miss. (FOX13) - Tupelo Police officers were called to 917 Terry Road regarding a possible puppymill.

After speaking with the homeowner Phyllis Wiginton, officers entered the home where they encountered 50 dogs of various breeds and five guinea pigs.

The owner surrendered all animals and they were transported to the Humane Society for care.

Wiginton was issued a Post Arrest Release for animal cruelty.
