CORDOVA, Tenn. (FOX13) - David Galloway of Cordova is accused of setting his own house on fire. He's charged with arson and is being held on a $25,000 bond.

But there is more to this story.

Galloway said he was depressed and after a night of drinking, poured gasoline inside the house and set it on fire. Firefighters the bodies of two dogs were found at the scene.

He told investigators one of the dogs died a few days ago and he was going to bury it. Galloway also told police the other dog had bit him on the hand Monday and he had shot and killed it.

In fact, Galloway took to social media and sent out this tweet, with a picture that said, "This is what my dog just did to me. Haven't killed him. Yet."

Galloway is due in court Thursday morning.
