No bomb in bag found at Phoenix fire station

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A suspicious device found at Phoenix fire station near 7th Avenue and Glendale was deemed safe on Thursday morning.

A firefighter found a strange device in a bag in front of the station around 6:30 a.m.

Firefighters took out all of their trucks and equipment as a precaution.

The bomb squad was called and sent in a robot that crushed the package and deemed it safe.

Authorities don't know what was inside the bag, but say it wasn't a bomb.
