    Detroit police has increased its presence in southwest Detroit after a 19-year-old was killed during a Cinco de Mayo parade.

DETROIT (WJBK) - The man suspected of fatally shooting 19-year-old Andreas DeJesus during the Cinco de Mayo parade this weekend has been released from police custody, pending the prosecutor's office's findings and final decision.

Wednesday night a vigil at the spot where DeJesus was killed to promote peace within the community.

Detroit Police Chief James Craig has told FOX 2 the shooting may have been gang affiliated, and now some are concerned about retaliation. Police have increased their patrols on the city's southwest side.
