Death penalty hearing scheduled for Gwinnett triple murder suspect

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -
A man who killed three people in Gwinnett County will have his first death penalty hearing on Monday.
Robert Erick Bell is accused of murdering 34-year-old Angelina Benton, her 12-year-old son Joseph McDonald, and 19-year-old godson Raymond Daniel and shooting another man at a home on Anderson Livsey Lane in Snellville in September 2013.
After a four month manhunt, Bell was arrested in a New Orleans homeless shelter and extradited to Gwinnett County.
Benton had allowed Bell and his wife to live in her home after the couple had fallen on hard times. The motive in the shooting is still unclear.
Bell is charged with three counts of Murder and one count of Aggravated Assault.
