Gunman tries to rob Harrison Township gas station

HARRISON TWP., Mich. (WJBK) -- A gunman is on the loose after he tried to rob a gas station in Harrison Township.

The suspect walked into the Speedway gas station on Jefferson and pulled out a small handgun. He pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded money from the cash register.

When the clerk refused to hand over the money, the suspect walked out of the store.

He took off in a small dark-colored SUV, possibly a Dodge Journey. The man is white and in his 20's.

He is approximately 6-foot-3, with a thin build and dark hair.
