Family Seeks Answers In Lawncrest Double Murder

Posted: Updated:
It's the first time they're speaking publicly after 49-year-old Donna Muller and her 22-year-old son Rich were found shot to death inside their Lawncrest, Philadelphia home

Fox 29's Sabina Kuriakose reports live from Lawncrest.

This double murder of a mother and son is stumping Philadelphia homicide detectives.

Months after the bodies were found inside their Lawncrest rowhome, relatives are left begging anyone with information to come forward before the case turns cold.

"Donna and Richard Muller should not be dead. They were not violent people. If you knew them you would know how gentle they both were," said Donna’s sister Catherine Rohland.

"Both good people we have no reason why anyone would want to do this to them," said Philadelphia Police Captain James Clark.

It’s been just over three months since the bodies of 49-year-old Donna and 22-year-old Richard were found. Each shot once in the head. Cops say there's no sign the suspect forced his or her way inside. Police say they have no motive, no suspect and no good leads.

Heather Kunf was Donna's daughter and big sister to Richard. She says the family is turning to the public now that cops have hit a wall.

"Every day I wake up and it’s so difficult for me to believe this really happened, and very hard for me to move on with my life," said Heather Muller Kunf."I can't sleep at night knowing that the person or persons who did this that they're still of there," she said.

"Now we must ask our Lawncrest community and the people of Philadelphia to help our grieving family." Rohland said.
