Southwest Detectives are searching for a suspect who they say robbed a 20-year-old woman at a Wynnefield Heights hotel.
Police say on Friday, April 11th at 5:00 p.m., the victim was staying at a hotel room inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel located at 4010 City Avenue when an unknown male knocked on the door.
When the woman answered the door the suspect allegedly entered the room, and pulled a handgun forcing the woman on the floor demanding money, police say.
According to authorities, after giving the suspect an undetermined amount of money the suspect tied the woman’s hands behind her back then fled the hotel in an unknown direction.
Police say the suspect may also be the same male involved in a similar robbery that occurred at the Extended Stay Hotel located at 9000 Timicum Boulevard on April 5th. The suspect in the April 5th incident was wearing a black hooded jacket, black and white shorts, and a bandana on his head, according to police.
Police describe the suspect in the April 11th incident, as a black male, 30 years-of-age, 6'2?, 250 lbs., muscular build, dark complexion, braids in hair, wearing a grey shirt with black writing on the front, and tan cargo pants.
