Seven Year Old Twins Fight Off Random Kidnapper

Posted: Updated:

Police in San Antonio are crediting twins who beat off a random kidnapper.

The children were in their car when a random stranger jumped in and drove away with three boys.

It's an incredible tale of survival that could have taken a much different turn if the boys didn't jump into action as they did.

An emotional scene as an ambulance reunites Lucia Rozado with her children.

During the terrifying ordeal, the baby was in his car seat, but the seven year old twins fought off the kidnapper using anything they could.

"I was kicking him. I was hitting him with a snake," one of the twins said.

The twin's revenge was apparently too much for the kidnapper

About a mile from where it all began, the criminal couldn't take it anymore and dropped off the kids in front of Maria Garcia's house.

Garcia recalls, "I got up to the door and the little boy was shaken up and the little boy was saying, "they kidnapped us. They kidnapped!" and I said, ‘come on in, you're okay."

Police say the kidnapping began when the family was getting ready to go to church.

But, just as mom remembered she forgot the baby's bottle, she got out to go back inside, made eye contact and even smiled at the suspect.

When she went inside, police say the kidnapper jumped in car and took off with the kids.

Mom says she forgives the kidnapper and is grateful her babies are back home safely.

"I think god that the guy, you know, he didn't harm them. He gave them the phone and told them to call their mom. I thank god that he didn't touch them," says  Lucia Rozado.
