Police searching for man who attacked senior citizen

SKOKIE, Ill. (FOX 32 News) -

Police are searching for a man who reportedly attacked a senior citizen on a CTA yellow line train in March.

Officers say the man boarded the train and began yelling at passengers around 8:45 p.m. on Friday, March 28. He then reportedly directed a comment toward the senior citizen, who told the man to leave him alone. Then man then approached the senior citizen and pulled his jacket over his head before punching and kicking him, police said.

Officials say the suspect punched and kicked the elderly man and caused severe bruising. The victim was taken to an area hospital.

The suspect is described as an Asian man that is 22 to 27 years old, between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-6, and weighing 140 pounds. He was wearing a blue baseball cap with a red iron cross logo on the front, a black jacket with logos on the upper sleeves of both arms and the letter "A" on the back of the jacket with an animal logo on the front, black jeans and black gym shoes, police said. He boarded the train with a purple and white bicycle.
