TROY, Mich. (WJBK) -- Police in Troy say a 19-year-old woman faces disorderly conduct charges after she used pepper spray inside a Troy restaurant because she thought someone was messing with her stuff.

Sgt. Andy Breidenich says Robin Charleston of Hamtramck discharged the spray inside the Chuck-E-Cheese's location on John R. on April 5.

Charleston originally told police the spray accidentally discharged, but eventually changed her story and admitted she sprayed it because she thought someone near her was messing with her food, tokens and purse. Police say the spray discharged into the air in close proximity to Charleston's 2-year-old daughter.

Medics were called to the scene to find patrons outside choking and vomiting. None, however, requested medical attention.

Charleston was arrested and released on bond. Her next court date is scheduled for April 29.
