SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Judge Joe Brown's outburst in a Memphis juvenile court room continues to get national attention.

Who better to weigh in on television's Judge Joe Brown, than television's Judge Judy!

Judge Joe Brown is running against Amy Weirich for Shelby County District Attorney.

Last week Brown was arrested after challenging a juvenile court magistrate's authority.

Brown says he was asked to intervene by a woman with a case pending in the court.

The magistrate said Brown was attempting to start a riot and charged him with contempt and five days in jail. Brown was released the same day.

While his opponent Weirich has declined to weigh in on the arrest a competing television judge, Judge Judy had some words of advice from Brown when asked by TMZ is she had any words for the Judge, "Ummm, stay sober."

Brown was scheduled to appear in court tomorrow, but all the local judges who he used to work with have recused themselves from the case.

A judge has been appointed. Senior Judge for the Supreme Court of Tennessee Paul Summers will hear this case.
