MEMPHIS, Tenn. -

DALLAS, Texas – University of Memphis' Joe Jackson has been selected to play in the 2014 Reese's Division I College All-Star Game Friday as part of NCAA Final Four weekend, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced Tuesday. Jackson is one of 21 seniors chosen to play in the game, which will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The game will be played Friday, but CBS is airing the contest on a tape-delay Saturday, Apr. 5 at 11 a.m. (CT).

Jackson is a member of the East All-Star Team, which is coached by University of Maryland's Mark Turgeon. The West squad's head coach is Johnny Dawkins of Stanford University.

Jackson is the only player from the American Athletic Conference that was selected to play in Friday's all-star game. He is one of two players from a state of Tennessee school to participate in the contest, as Middle Tennessee's Shawn Jones also was chosen.

The Tigers' 6-foot-1 guard led the team in scoring (14.1 ppg), assists (154) and steals (52) this season. He shot 44.3 percent from the floor and 77.4 percent from the free throw line, while also pulling down 3.6 boards from his point guard spot.

Jackson finished the season ranked among the league's statistical leaders in scoring (12th), assists (6th), free throw percentage (12th), steals (9th) and assist-turnover ratio (3rd).

Following the 2013-14 regular season, the Memphis, Tenn., native was named to the All-American Athletic Conference second team and NABC All-District 25 first team.

The Memphis, Tenn., native finished his career in the top-10 on the Tigers all-time charts for scoring (7th; 1,687 points), assists (4th; 567) and steals (7th; 189). Jackson is only the second player in Tigers history to complete a career with 1,500 points, 500 assists and 175 steals (Elliot Perry is the other).

Jackson helped lead Memphis to a 24-10 record, a third-place finish in the American Athletic Conference regular season and a fourth-straight NCAA Tournament bid in 2013-14.
