Memphis Police arrest a woman they say was behind the wheel of a deadly hit & run accident.

The accident Saturday night killed Curtis Echols.  Investigators say Curteria Leuellyn is charged with vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended license.

Police say she was driving Saturday night in Orange Mound near Deaderick Avenue at Hugenot Street when the Chevy Malibu she was driving jumped a curb, hit Echols and drug him through a yard and back to the street.

He died on the scene.

Police say Leuellyn went to the Union Avenue police station where she gave a statement on the accident.

Another woman told police she had lent her Chevy Malibu to two other people, and noticed damage when the car was returned.
