Ex-Yellow Jacket Attaochu: Hamstring fully healed

ATLANTA (AP) - Former Georgia Tech defensive end Jeremiah Attaochu is no longer concerned about his right hamstring.

Attaochu says he was relieved to perform well Friday at the school's pro day.

Attaochu, the Yellow Jackets' career sacks leader, suffered a torn hamstring Jan. 25 at the Senior Bowl and was unable to work out at the NFL scouting combine last month.

Declaring himself fully healed, Attaochu says several scouts told him Friday that he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. He reported no problems with changing directions quickly in other drills.

The 6-foot-3, 242-pound Attaochu believes the injury won't hold him back from getting picked in the second or third round of the NFL draft next month.

Georgia Tech also showcased 13 other players on Friday, including defensive back Jemea Thomas.
