DETROIT (WJBK) -

What a man found while cleaning up near an alley on Detroit's northwest side over the weekend is still hard to shake. Among the garbage and debris, he found a woman's body burned beyond recognition.

"From what he says, the hands and the feet were tired together behind the back with a wire hanger, and she had a some type of bag, maybe a plastic bag or paper bag, over her face and then [she was] lean[ing] face down. And then they had set her on fire," says Mike Rizka. He owns a gas station nearby on the corner of Puritan and Wyoming streets and knows the man who found the body well.

Rizka's employees were the ones who called police, who were at the scene on Saturday for hours.

Sources tell FOX 2 the victim has been identified as 26-year-old Brittany Brown.

If you think you have information that could aid investigators you're asked to call the Detroit Police Department.
