Iraqi man pleads not guilty in Casa Grande bombing

Posted: Updated:

FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) - An Iraqi man has pleaded not guilty to multiple state counts of attempted murder after authorities say he detonated an explosive device outside a Social Security Administration office in Arizona in 2012.

Abdullatif Aldosary was arraigned Friday in Florence.

He pleaded not guilty to all 22 counts, including 14 charges of attempted first-degree murder, arson and use of explosives.

Aldosary was convicted last September in federal court and sentenced to five years in prison on three weapons possession counts.

Authorities say they found guns and ammunition when they searched his home after the explosion outside a Social Security office in Casa Grande on Nov. 30, 2012.

The 48-year-old Aldosary isn't allowed to own firearms because of a previous felony conviction.
