NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - A northern New Jersey man has been sentenced to two years of probation after pleading guilty to making a threatening phone call to Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.

Ronnie McMillian Jr. was sentenced on Wednesday in federal court in Newark, said spokesman for New Jersey's U.S. attorney's office.

A federal judge ordered that McMillian spend six months of his sentence in home incarceration.

The 29-year-old Hawthorne, N.J., resident admitted making the call to Jindal two years ago and leaving a voicemail saying Jindal and other Republicans would "get a bullet in your head."

At the time of his arrest, prosecutors said McMillian regularly called the offices of public officials, including several members of Congress, and used vulgar language to attack the official's position on gay rights.

For decades, making some quick cash was the main drive behind so many who took the ride down the parkway to Atlantic City. But with so much to choose from nowadays, it looks like Atlantic City is in a lot of trouble.
