Hinckley man released after hit man hire violates probation

Posted: Updated:
HINCKLEY, Minn. (KMSP) -

A Pine County man who was released from prison in December after serving 9 months for hiring a 'hit man' to kill his ex-girlfriend is back behind bars once following a probation violation.

Jesse Ericson spoke with Fox 9 News after he his release, and it was then that he proclaimed he was a changed man. In fact, he insisted that as long as he stayed away from beer, Vicodin and Percocet, he would be okay.

EXCLUSIVE: 'I love her to death; I always will.'

After his release, Ericson moved into a motel room that was barely bigger than the prison cell he left days earlier. Still, he said it was enough space to house his few belongings and his regrets.

Ericson was imprisoned after he solicited a hit man to kill his ex-girlfriend, but that mean turned out to be an undercover cop. This time around, the Department of Corrections won't specify what got Ericson in trouble, saying only that he violated the terms of his probation.
