FOXe: My Green School Art Contest

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. (WJBK) -

Michigan students are invited to participate in the 4th Annual My Green School Art Contest. Any student attending a school or homeschooled program in grades K - 5 can enter.

Click on the video player to hear from students and some of last year's winners in Robin Schwartz's report.

The contest asks students to create artwork that shows how their school is green, or how their school could become greener.

Guidelines

+ Use paper or cardstock up to 12 x 18
+ Use paint, crayons, pencil, collage, photos, stencils, etc.
+ Do not use glitter, copyright or trademark images
+ Do not include the student's name or school's name within the artwork
+ Do not matte or frame

Top winners from each grade will be honored at the Michigan Earth Day Fest Charity Preview, and the artwork will appear in a traveling art show.

The Detroit Institute of Arts helps sponsor the competition.
