SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. (FOX13) -

The race to unseat incumbent Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell is a little less crowded.

Shelby County Commission Chairman James Harvey pulled out of the May 6 Democratic mayoral primary race on Thursday.

That leaves three Democrats still in the running -- former Shelby County Commissioner Deidre Malone, who is running a second time for county mayor; former legacy Memphis City Schools board member Rev. Kenneth Whalum, Jr.'; and Shelby County Commissioner and University of Memphis law professor Dr. Steve Mulroy.
