With 67 musical acts, including expanded Beale Street Late Night performances, the 2014 Beale Street Music Festival roster represents a diverse and dynamic musical line-up.  As the staple kick-off of Memphis in May, the 37th Annual Beale Street Music Festival will start the month long celebration from Tom Lee Park, May 2-4.

Beale Street Music Festival delivers, once again, with headliners such as rocking-country-rap mega-star, Kid Rock, southern roots rockers Alabama Shakes, indie pop trio Foster the People, hard rockers Avenged Sevenfold, electronic dance music (EDM) artist Pretty Lights, Rap icon Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion, progressive bluegrass jam band The String Cheese Incident, soul diva Patti LaBelle and instrumental electronic rockers STS9.  

"We are bringing the best of the best of touring music talent this year," says Jim Holt, President & CEO of Memphis in May.  "We pride ourselves on presenting a diverse line-up designed to appeal to musical enthusiasts from all segments of the population across the country and around the world.  The Beale Street Music Festival offers something for virtually every musical taste." 

As always, there remains a strong representation of rock and blues on the line-up with, 311, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Seether, Motorhead, Dropkick Murphys, Wolfmother, and Black Stone Cherry, for rock fans and Buddy Guy, Blues Traveler, Dickey Betts, Canned Heat, Tommy Castro, Ana Popovic, Kenny Neal, Roy Rogers and the Delta Rhythm Kings, Quinn Sullivan, Lucky Peterson, and Tony Joe White for blues music enthusiasts.  Modern day Jazz legend Chick Corea returns for his first performance at the festival since 1990 with touring ensemble the Vigil.  Among the nearly 70 artists on the line-up, 26 artists will be performing at Beale Street Music Festival for the first time including modern pop quintet Fitz & the Tantrums, Funk and R&B great Bootsy Collins, indie rock quintet Grouplove, Hip Hop artist Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and Latin Grammy winning rock act Los Rabanes, the featured act from the 2014 Memphis in May honored country, Panama.  Other notable newcomers to the Beale Street Music Festival include The Dandy Warhols, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Jason Isbell, Twenty One Pilots, MS MR, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and AER.   

Holding to tradition, Beale Street Music Festival consistently spotlights Memphis' incredible music artists.  This year, nearly a third of the line-up features talent from Memphis and the surrounding area, including true rock-n-roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis, who is returning for his 11th performance at Beale Street Music Festival, as well as hometown hip hop hero Juicy J, along with North Mississippi Allstars, Lord T & Eloise, Surrender the Fall, Project Pat, Reba Russell, Memphis Dawls, Freeworld, Will Tucker, Eric Gales, Sonny Burgess and the Legendary Pacers, Herman Green, Ghost Town Blues Band, Blind Mississippi Morris, Daddy Mack Blues Band, Robert "Wolfman" Belfour, Fuzzy Jefferies, David Evans, Brandon Bailey, Leo Bud Welch and Kenny Brown.  

"Beale Street Late Night" expands this year to both Friday and Saturday night and features Big Gigantic and Beats Antique for late night dance music fans.
