MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

A grieving grandmother said her daughter, Andrea Walker, didn't kill her seven-week-old infant Baby Aniston.

Walker is in Jail East, charged with first degree murder.

Walker's mother came to the FOX13 News Studios unannounced Wednesday evening and she says she wants to tell her side of the story.

Walker's mother said the Memphis Police zeroed in on her daughter from the start and didn't consider any other suspects.

Seven-week-old Aniston Walker disappeared the morning of Jan. 10. On Feb. 16 an infant's body was found in a ditch off a road near Jones Orchard in Millington.

Memphis Police say Andrea Walker, the child's mother, didn't cooperate with them. Police charged her with child abuse right away. They say she left her seven-week-old baby home alone with her 3-year old toddler. Wednesday evening Andrea Walker's mother told FOX13 News that's true and said that shouldn't have happened.

But she says her daughter didn't do anything to harm her baby. She said her daughter's lawyers are telling her not to talk to detectives.

"She has nothing to hide," Andrea Walker's mother said. "My daughter is innocent. She would not kill a child. She loved children. She'd been working with children all her life, all her life. She loves children and she'd do anything in the world, you know? If this could be undone, which I know it can't."

"She has told them everything that she knows," she added. "Everything that has happened and the police have just taken it out of context."

Andrea Walker's mother said Memphis Police focused in on her daughter from the start of the investigation and they aren't considering other suspects. She says other people had keys to the family home.

But Memphis Police have said they considered every possibility. The day Andrea Walker was charged, Police Director Toney Armstrong said his investigators never gave up on the case.
