One of the most explosive debates at The State Capitol this year is over gun rights.
On Tuesday, a group of moms joined the debate.
The Georgia Chapter of Moms took aim at a bill passed last week in the House that would expand gun rights in public places like churches, schools, and government buildings.
They feel the bill is dangerous.
State Representative Mandi Ballinger is a mom herself.
And one week ago, she not only voted for, but spoke out in support of the gun bill, in the name of household protection.
She says the law allows women to better protect themselves.
The bill allows churches and bars to decide if they will allow licensed gun owners, to carry in their buildings.
It also gives schools the opportunity to arm a staff member.
And also lessens the penalty for people caught with a gun on a college campus.
