12-Year-Old Under Arrest For Reporting A Fake Shooting At School

Posted: Updated:

Seminole County investigators have arrested a 12-year-old for a 9-1-1 conversation that lasted two minutes.

The juvenile allegedly called the police during a school day, pretending to be hiding for his life. He claimed there was a school shooting and reported that there was a significant number of injuries.

The student has now been taken to a juvenile justice center and is facing four misdemeanor crimes.

The student called the police and after being asked where he was he responded,

"There is a lot of blood all over the place. And there are guys all around the place so it's not safe," the student from his cell phone. "I'm at school. But I'm in the back. I asked to go to the bathroom so I could call you guys. But this is really bad. No one knows what to do."

Deputies immediately locked down the school, terrifying students and parents alike, until they learned it was a prank.

The 12-year-old will be seen by a judge in court on Monday to determine the punishment of his alleged crimes.
