NASHVILLE, Tenn. (FOX13) -

"Turn the Gays Away" or Religious Freedom bill has died in committee. There was talk of bringing it up again next year.

Sen. Brian Kelsey suggested delaying "Turn the Gays Away" bill a year, to see what the courts say about Tenn. ban on gay marriage.

The bill, reviewed by a Senate committee, would protect wedding-related business owners who refuse service to same sex couples based on religious beliefs.

Sen. Kelsey pulled his name off the bill last week amid a national firestorm of controversy.
