The Chamber crowned a new Polar Bear "Royal Family," hosted a hilarious Costume Contest, and delight people of all ages with a Polar Bear Parade to the JFK Boulevard Beach, where countless participants will gather for the main event: a Plunge in the Atlantic Ocean.
The Parade featured past Polar Bear Kings and Queens, including Dr. Irene Jameson, the event's founder and first Queen. Dr. Jameson, age 89, who cruised along the parade route while seated on a throne of ice.
Following the main plunge on JFK Boulevard, she took a ceremonial dip in the Atlantic Ocean with family and friends.
Proceeds from the Run-Walk benefit Autism support groups, special services schools and families with special needs children.
