The U.S. Geological Service says both incidents happened inside the Hamilton Branch State Park located about 20 miles north of Augusta and just east of the Savannah River and the Georgia-South Carolina border.
The quakes happened about 3 miles below the earth's surface.
Officials spent Friday night and Sunday afternoon checking roads, bridges, dams and the nuclear plants to ensure there was no damage. No major damage was reported and there were no reports of injuries from either event.
