More than 450 flights canceled at Chicago airports

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

More than 450 flights have been canceled at O'Hare and Midway airports Thursday because of winter storms around the country.

More than 375 flights have been canceled at O'Hare as of 11:25 p.m., and more than 80 flights have been canceled at Midway, according to the city's Department of Aviation.

Flights at Midway are also experiencing delays of about 2 hours, according to the department.

Most of the canceled flights were to areas in the East and Southeast hit by winter storms.
