MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - -

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Tigers overcame a double-digit second half deficit, beating Gonzaga 60-54 in front of over 18,000 at a packed FedEx Forum.

Hosting ESPN College Gameday and the No. 23 ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs, the Tigers struggled early, limping to a 5-1 deficit early and trailing 25-22 at the break while shooting just 26% from the floor.

The Tigers struggles got worse before they got better in the second half, trailing by as many as 12 before Joe Jackson gave them a spark. Jackson blocked Gonzaga forward Przemek Karnowski at the rim on a dunk attempt with 13:42 remaining, and the Tigers went on a 30-12 run to close the game.

Jackson (10 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds) and Michael Dixon (11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists) were strong in the second half as the Tigers picked up the win in their last non-conference game of the season.

Memphis resumes conference play on Wednesday, February 12, hosting University of Central Florida.
